1. Writing an Objective is no longer “in” as it is better to write an Overview. Here is a sample:
Overview: Driven by the issues that impact the future and the future generations, Cindy has dedicated herself to improving the planet through advocacy, lobbying, public speaking and media training and consulting with the seasoned and youth alike. Cindy has a great knowledge of media and film production, her drive and motivation are vibatious.
2. Make sure your information is relevant to the position you are applying for.
3. Make it as factual as possible i.e.) 123% increase in sales.
4. Get as much information into your resume as possible, and combine as much information into a line as you can.
5. Choose your words carefully: i.e.) Managed vs. Supervised.
6. If you have less than 10 years of experience, your resume should be no more than one page.
